I know we cannot mention seller names, etc., but these are some signs in the auctions we've been talking about on here that things weren't as they seemed. I looked at the auctions and compiled this list in hopes that it might help everyone with future auctions.

* Photos were from AG; they were not actual photos of the actual items (this is against copyright law and eBay policy). According to eBay, "you can . . . help by getting in touch with the rights owner and encouraging them to contact us" (http://pages.ebay.com/help/confidenc...hts-owner.html).

* The descriptions said that all of her dolls were kept safely in a glass cabinet. The AG dolls, however, were being gotten rid of due to needing room for the grandkids. Do the grandkids enjoy being displayed in the cabinet?

* Would that many 18" dolls fit in a doll cabinet in their original packaging?

* Why would one person have so many duplicates, and all in boxes, never removed?

* Some of the dolls were advertised as coming with extra *accessories* and in their original box, not boxES.

* The location of the seller was not a real location.

* One of the comments was not to ask the seller to take a doll out of the box. However, AG boxes open in such a way that a photo could be taken of a doll still in its box.

* Kit was listed in more than one listing as having an imitation diamond barrette! The barrette is a plastic green barrette, with no diamonds, imitation or otherwise. It's in square shapes, but this showed no knowledge of the actual barrette's appearance.

* The AG boxes were described as being white, even for new dolls. I haven't purchased a doll since Kit came out, but hasn't the box style changed? When I've looked at photos from members here, the boxes weren't white.

* You can't display an AG doll in its original white box. The box was completely solid. All you would have in your doll display cabinet was a pretty white box.

* Marisol does not come in untouched condition wearing a bun.
